The process that I used to create this relief print is sometimes referred to as suicide printing because the original wood block is carved down for each color and ends up destroyed in the end. This makes the end products in the series truly unique.

Design-wise, I wanted to see how I could use the medium of printmaking to create an interesting rock texture, but I also wanted to recreate the look of a sport poster or something that you would find in an outdoor magazine.
